I see 3w, 5w, and 10w LED options, what’s the difference?
You have the option between 3w Osram, 5w Osram, or 10w Cree LEDs. These are some of the brightest LEDs on the market! Don’t be misled, the 3 watts still put out an unbelievable amount of light! You choose just how bright you need it.
What is light beam spread pattern, and what is best for me?
Flood- Wide-spread light to illuminate the side and front of your rig. Perfect for those who want a wider cone of light than a spot.
Spot- Great for those who need those piercing beams of light that seem to travel forever.
Combo- Best of both worlds, the floods sit on the outside giving you the side blow-out of light while still shooting far with the Spots piercing far ahead.

I originally selected Black Oak LED for replacement pod lights for my Jeep because of the IP69 rating and The fact that the company was veteran owned. As a veteran myself I like to support businesses like this. I didn't know what to expect from the lights and they absolutely blew me away. When I purchased a new roof rack I selected one with a cutout for a single row light bar and ordered a 40" from Blank Oak to install onto it. I've been replacing other old or cheap lights on my rig with lights from Black Oak. Single row pods for reverse lights and then amber pods for fog lights. I love these things!!

First impression was, WOW! I shouldn’t have been looking in it; the power these lights put out is crazy! We use the 40” light bar up on the hard top, mainly for putting around at night with friends on the boat or spot fishing late night with the boys. No matter what we use for, these lights are top notch! Super clean, easy to install, quick connect plug and play, I mean you can’t go wrong with these Black Oak Lights.

Last year I added pod lights to my XJ roof rack. It took some searching to find what I wanted. I knew I didn't want cheap lights - I already had those up there and after about a year they were foggy, discolored and 1 no longer worked. Up here in the Pacific Northwest anything on the outside of your vehicle is going to get exposed to 9 or 10 months of rain and a cheap build quickly results in equipment that doesn't work. I also wanted something other than black for the housing. The Black Oak 2" pods ticked every box, plus the bonus of supporting a veteran owned business. As a veteran myself I always look for opportunities like this.1 year later and they still look like new, except for a maybe an old bug smashed on the case of one of them. . When the time came that I wanted to upgrade my roof rack the one I selected had an option for a cutout to mount a 40" single row light bar. I instantly knew where I was going to be buying the light bar from: Black Oak. Once I got everything mounted I couldn't wait to turn it on. I was unsure just how much brighter it would be than my 4 pods, which are no slouches in light output. Once again I was blown away! Incredible light output that reached out far beyond my expectations with the added benefit of flood lighting to the sides. I made use of my pod lights and mounted them to the sides and rear of my rig as work lights. They're handy when the lights go out on the trail or in camp. Or lately when setting up or taking down my telescope. You guys rule!!
