• Burnout Protection: If the charger temperature exceeds its limit, it will reduce the power load. If the ambient temperature exceeds 149°F, the charger will stop charging and enter standby mode until the temperature drops.

• Reverse Battery Connection Protection: The charger circuit automatically shuts down if batteries are connected in reverse, preventing damage to the charger.

• No-load Protection: The charger won't output power when batteries are not connected.

• Short Circuit Protection: The charger circuit shuts down if a short circuit occurs, and charging resumes only after troubleshooting and restarting the charger.

• Automatic Shutdown on Full Charge: Charging stops automatically when the battery is fully charged, based on the charger's assessment.

Additionally, both Electric Fishing Reel Batteries and Marine Lithium Battery Chargers come with a 2-year complimentary replacement warranty.

What does this warranty cover?

At Black Oak, we take pride in our products. We offer a Limited Warranty ensuring that every lithium battery purchased from blackoakled.com, or our authorized dealers and distributors, is free from defects at the time of purchase. This warranty specifically covers any defects in materials and workmanship under standard use throughout the Warranty Period. Should any issues arise due to improper workmanship during normal use and maintenance, Black Oak commits to repairing or replacing the product or its parts at no cost.

How does the warranty work?

If your battery is broken, we'll fix it or give you a new one. Fixable batteries are repaired for free. If the problem is determined to be a manufacturing defect and within 5 years, we replace it for free. After 5 years, we'll fix your battery for free if we can, if not, you can buy a new one for 35% off. It may take up to 1 week to repair your battery. Need a new battery right away? You'll need to pay first, but we'll refund you once we get the old one back and confirm it's defective.

Duration of warranty

We offer an industry leading 11-year warranty on lithium batteries from the date of purchase. Any replacement batteries issued carry the remaining warranty from the date of the original purchase.

What exclusions apply to this limited warranty?

This warranty exclusively covers manufacturing defects. Actions such as jump-starting, short-circuiting, intentional negligence, tampering with manufactures seal, using unauthorized chargers, shipping related damages, incorrect battery installation, breakage due to collisions, improper storage, water damage, temperature damage from extreme heat or cold, or abuse will invalidate the warranty without exceptions. If the battery is determined to be misused, the customer will be responsible for repair charges, which include parts and shipping. Black Oak Lithium retains the discretion to decline any warranty claims.
