I was extremely impressed not only by the build quality but the brightness in such a small light. I use the light to navigate a small creek at night. I needed to lights one for distance to spot upcoming turns and debris. The other a spreader light to ensure I am centered in the creek but off center is dangerous due to fallen tree and debris. Black Oak LED’s solved my lighting issues. I will be back for the next lights I need.

While living in the Upper Peninsula (U.P.) of Michigan the summers are great with lots of daylight but the winters are dark and can be long unless you love the snow! During the winter months the U.P. gets pounded with snow and my friends and I enjoy snowmobiling throughout the U.P. when not working. Unlike the summers up here where the sun rises around 6:00 A.M. and the sun sets around 9:40 P.M. in the winter the sun rises around 8:00 A.M. and sets around 5:00 P.M. which only leaves approximately 9 hours of light. The daylight is very short up here throughout the winter months which is why I added 2 - Black Oak 4" Spreader Lights to my 2024 Ski-Doo MXZ. We snowmobile during the day and also at night which is fun but can be hard to see if you don't have the proper lighting. In the picture below the top picture is my snowmobile headlight without the Black Oak Spreader Lights on, then right below that is my snowmobile with the headlight and both 4" Black Oak Spreader Lights on! What a difference these make when snowmobiling as the Spreader Lights light up the trail and surrounding areas really well. All the snow reflects the lights so you are able to see pretty well at night, keep in mind that we are out in the middle of nowhere so there are no street lights or a light glow from nearby towns. The last picture below is where I placed both Black Oak 4" Spreader Lights on my snowmobile, on top of the A-arms, and have them pointed up so they light up the trees and shine higher than the snowmobile headlight!
